Suzlon begins commissioning of projects in Europe
Wind-turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy on Friday said it has started its first installation and commissioning of wind power projects in Europe.
MUMBAI: Wind-turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy on Friday said it has started its first installation and commissioning of wind power projects in Europe.
In a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company said it has completed the commissioning of six turbines and the mechanical erection of additional of nine turbine as installed at its Penamacor projects in Portugal.
The project covers an order from Tecneira - Tecnologias Energeticas, SA of Portugal for 39.9 MW of wind turbine capacity to be supplied for two windfarm projects.
The orders are to be supplied through the company's largest product, the S88-2.1 MW wind turbine. The company has presence in other European countries Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands as well.
Suzlon had recently acquired German wind turbine manufacturer REpower. Shares of Suzlon closed at Rs 1240.50, up 0.92per cent on BSE.
