Sterlite Power on Monday announced two new corporate brand identities for transmission and manufacturing.

The company said Resonia will house the transmission infrastructure business while Sterlite will incorporate the manufacturing of cables and conductors as well as the services business.

The decision to create two distinct corporate entities comes on the back of the demerger of its transmission operation approved by its board last year.

“With a clear emphasis on specific market segments, both entities are well-positioned to seize new opportunities and tackle the challenges presented by the global energy transition,” said Pratik Agarwal, managing director-Sterlite Power Transmission and chairman-Resonia.

Resonia will drive the expansion of transmission networks, facilitating renewable energy integration, while Sterlite will lead the manufacturing of high-performance power conductors, cables and engineering procurement and construction (EPC) services.

Renewable energy arm of the company, Serentica, will retain its company identity, it said.
