Solar power tariffs fall to Rs 2.97 per unit
Rewa ultra mega solar, a 50:50 joint venture of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Ltd and Solar Energy Corp of India will sell the electricity produced to MP.
Mahindra Rebewables bagges the first unit at a tariff of Rs 2.979, Acme Solar bagged the second unit at Rs. 2.97 while Solenergi won the third unit at Rs. 2.974 per unit, official sources said.
These are the tariffs being quoted by developers for the first year. For average tariff for the plant life of 25 years, Rs 0.33 per unit needs to be added. There would be 5 paisa escalation in the tariff for 15 years.
