Shan Solar launches new concept of 'build your own system'

COIMBATORE: Solar Photo Voltaic module maker, Shan Solar Pvt Ltd, has come out with a new concept of ' Build your Own system', a top official said today.

The Bangalore-headquartered company, instead of pre- designed models, is introducing customised solar solution, which would be 'a game changer' in promoting distributed generation and empower masses to produce personal power, Sury Singapur, company CMD told reporters here.

"This radically new idea stems from Shan's belief that solar offerings should never have product orientation. More importantly customised solar solution is critical to get optimum results, thereby justifying the investment being made," Singapur said.

This model revolved around the expertise of application engineers with the company directly taking the responsibility of design, installation and maintenance, he said.

With solar power technology becoming more relevant now than ever before, the company is convinced that its concept of 'build your own system" will empower the masses to embrace solar power as the preferred choice of energy, he said.

Rajesh Rangarajan, Chief Marketing Officer said that new policy initiatives of Tamil Nadu and Kerala encouraged roof top solutions and this concept could be the vehicle to embark to this journey. With Solar Purchase Obligation being made mandatory in Tamil Nadu, the concept would encourage a new group of investors to take advantage of new policy initiatives, he said.
