Reliance Industries awarded A+ certification by GRI for its sustainability report

Reliance Industries Ltd ( RIL) has been awarded Application Level A+ certification by Global Reporting Initiative ( GRI) for its sustainability report - " New Businesses. New Technologies. New partnerships. (2011)". The Global Reporting Initiative(GRI) produces one of the world's most prevalent standards for sustainability reporting - also known as ecological reporting.

The A+ Level check was awarded to RIL for successfully fulfilling the required set and number of disclosures upon which Application Level A+ is awarded. The + has been awarded to the Application Level because RIL has submitted (part of) this report for external assurance.

RIL has been achieving Application level A+ from GRI on its sustainability reports since the past six years. This is in keeping with RIL's vision ensure transparent and responsible business processes, disclosures and reporting across all verticals as set by global reporting frameworks like the GRI's guidelines. RIL commenced its annual triple bottom line performance reporting journey in FY 2004-05.
