REL to shut down Dahanu power unit for maintenance

MUMBAI: Anil Ambani group company Reliance Energy Ltd has said it will shut down one unit of its thermal power station at Dahanu, Maharashtra, for about 25 days to carry out maintenance work.
In a filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the power utility said the shutdown would begin from August 2.
The company owns and operates a 500 MW thermal power station at Dahanu, which consists of two units of 250 MW each, it said, adding one of these units would be closed for overhauling.
