Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has directed the power officials to ensure quick completion of pending electricity production projects in the state.

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has directed the power officials to ensure quick completion of pending electricity production projects in the state.

During a review meeting here yesterday, Gehlot asked officials to expedite the process to improve power situation in the state, an official release said.

He has also ordered officials to ensure that state farmers get a minimum of six hours of uninterrupted power supply during the Rabi season.

The electricity department officials have also been asked to arrange for purchase of an additional 400-500 MW to meet the needs of domestic consumers.

The CM ordered power department officials to ensure that production at two 600 MW units of the Kalisindh Thermal Power Station, the 250 MW third and fourth units of Chhabra power station and 160 MW unit of the Ramgarh gas turbine begins at the earliest.
