Power industry is going to stay with reasonable tariff: Deven Choksey, KR Choksey Securities

Power industry is going to stay with the kind of a reasonable tariff and not the extra tariff that we were earlier talking about.

Deven Choksey, MD, KR Choksey Securities, in a chat with ET Now talks about JSW Energy and the power space.

Do you look at JSW Energy? Power seems to be a space which nobody wants to look at but in light of this deal, have you looked at it at all?

Not really, so would not be able to give any specific comment on this particular space. But yes, one particular aspect about the entire sector and the space is that kind of a premier tariff that we were talking about earlier is not likely to happen because you already have some amount of surplus situation happening in different pockets and at a relative point of time.

So from the point of view of getting those kind of contracts in place, most of the suppliers have already started talking to the companies who are consumers. So in my viewpoint, the industry is going to stay with the kind of a reasonable tariff and not the extra tariff that we were earlier talking about.
