Power cuts in parts of north Delhi due to snag in Mandaula grid station

​Several parts of north Delhi today faced power cuts due to technical snags in the 400-KV transmission network in Mandaula Grid station.

NEW DELHI: Several parts of north Delhi today faced power cuts due to technical snags in the 400-KV transmission network in Mandaula Grid station.

The areas that were affected were Azadpur, Model Town, Indira Vihar, Tripolia, Shakti Nagar and Gopal Pur.

However, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) managed to restore most of the power supply within 20 to 60 minutes of the interruption due to back feeding and alternate supply source, said a TPDDL statement.

"TPDDL on its own has created necessary N-1 network to provide uninterrupted power to its consumers and has also tied up adequate quantity of power to meet its peak load upto 1800 MW capacity without any restrictions," said the statement
