NTPC, Meghalaya SEB sign power purchase agreements

NEW DELHI: State-run NTPC Ltd has signed two Power Purchase Agreements with Meghalaya State Electricity Board for supply of power to the north eastern state.
As per the agreements, around 40 MW power shall be supplied from stage II of NTPC's Kahalgaon power plant in Bihar, NTPC said in a statement.
Another 21.24 MW would be supplied from the company's Farakka project in West Bengal, Talcher Kaniha station in Orissa and Kahalgaon plant to Meghalaya, the statement added.
The agreements were signed by Meghalaya SEB's Member (Technical) P K Roy and NTPC's Executive Director I J Kapoor.
