NTPC inks fuel FSA with ECL for coal supply

The country���s largest generation company National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) on Monday inked a fuel supply agreement (FSA) with Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL) for assured annual coal supply to the 440 mw Tanda power station in Uttar Pradesh for a 25-year span.

A separate MoU was also inked between NTPC and ECL for annual coal supply of 2 million tonnes to NTPC���s Farakka and Kahalgaon generating stations. Senior NTPC and ECL executives were present at NTPC���s city office where both agreements were inked today. Moves are afoot to eventually expand Tanda���s capacity to 2000 mw, said an NTPC executive.
