NHPC synchronises Teesta Hydro Electric Project's 2nd unit with grid

MUMBAI: State run hydropower company NHPC has synchronised the second unit of 40 MW at the Teesta hydropower project with the grid on March 16, the company told bourses Friday.

This makes was for the commercial commissioning of the unit of the Teesta Low Dam Hydro Electric Project, Stage-IV in West Bengal.

At 14:20 IST, shares of NHPC were trading at Rs 21.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 1.6% from previous close.

Earlier this month, the company declared commercial operation of the first unit of 160 mw of the Teesta Low Dam Hydro Electric Project, Stage-IV.
