NHPC pays Rs 9.6 cr to Arunachal
National Hydro Power Corp pays addtional Rs 9.6 crore to Arunachal Pradesh as compensation.
Government spokesman Tako Dabi told a press conference here on Friday that the list of people affected by the project was being compiled by the department concerned and the entire amount would be given to them in toto.
NHPC is yet to sign a memorandum of understanding with the state government for the project, billed as the biggest hydro power project in the country.
However, the corporation has started work and spent Rs 1,700 crore on the project, which is embroiled in a case filed by some environmentalists in the Supreme Court.
