NHPC aims at Rs 5,400 crore power sales in FY'16

NEW DELHI: State-run hydro power utility NHPC aims to earn over Rs 5,400 crore through the sale of power. It targets generation of 22,000 million units in the current fiscal, 2015-16.

NHPC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Power for 2015-16.

Under the preliminary pact, the company has a gross (power) sales target of Rs 5,439 crore, NHPC said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.

The company has also set a generation target of 22,000 million units (MU), as against 21,800 MU target last year.

NHPC shares were trading at Rs 20.10, up 1.01 per cent, on the BSE.
