BHOPAL: Announcing a net profit of Rs 106.10 crore in 2005-06, Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation (NHDC) on Thursday said it might venture into setting up of thermal power stations in Madhya Pradesh.
Possibilties of setting up thermal projects in the state were being explored and we might venture into the new area under our diversification project, NHDC chairman and managing director S K Garg told reporters here.
Survey and investigations of three other hydroelectric projects in Handia, Bauras and Hoshangabad were being carried out, he said adding the detailed project reports are to be submitted by this year end.
He said the NHDC had recorded a turnover of Rs 335.98 crore in 2006-07 and registered a net profit of Rs 106.10 crore.
The board of directors have announced dividend ot Rs 21.22 crore, he added.
