MSEDCL detects power theft worth 18 lakhs
The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd has detected theft of electricity worth Rs 18.94 lakh in the Amravati zone comprising Akola, Buldana, Washim, Amravati and Yavatmal districts in January.

AKOLA: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd has detected theft of electricity worth Rs 18.94 lakh in the Amravati zone comprising Akola, Buldana, Washim, Amravati and Yavatmal districts in January.
One hundred and eighty six hooks were removed from live wires from where the theft took place.
Offences under the Electricity Act have been registered against the several consumers, MSEDCL chief engineer (Amravati) said.
