MK Goel may be appointed CMD of Power Finance Corporation

NEW DELHI: The government is likely to appoint MK Goel as Chairman and Managing Director of Power Finance Corporation.

Sources said Goel, currently the acting Chairman and Managing Director, has been shortlisted for the top post at the state-run company.

Over a dozen candidates applied for the position, which fell vacant after the five-year term of Satnam Singh ended in July.

Goel is also Director (Commercial), handling the ultra-mega power projects and the Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (APDRP), for which the company is the nodal agency.
