Maintenance work in Haryana to reduce power complaints

Haryana Power Distribution Corporation will undertake special distribution system maintenance programme in various sectors, urban wards and the villages of the state from next month.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Power Distribution Corporation will undertake special distribution system maintenance programme in various sectors, urban wards and the villages of the state from next month.

This was stated by Chairman and Managing Director of power utilities, Devender Singh, during a review meeting with senior officers here today.

The maintenance work on power distribution system in all the 8,816 villages and wards in urban areas will be completed by June, 2013, he said.

Singh said the work will include tightening the loose conductor and its replacement if necessary, replacement of all iron poles, erection of additional poles and maintenance and augmentation of transformers.

He said this will help in considerably bringing down complaints relating to power failure due to local factors.
