Mahavitaran issues LoA to Adani, Lanco

Mahavitaran on Tuesday said that it has issued Letters of Acceptance (LoA) to Adani Power and Lanco Power for their Gondia and Chhattisgarh power plants.

MUMBAI: Mahavitaran on Tuesday said that it has issued Letters of Acceptance (LoA) to Adani Power and Lanco Power for their Gondia and Chhattisgarh power plants.

Mahavitaran is the electricity distribution arm of the Maharashtra Government.

The Adani Power plant is of 1,320 MW and Lanco Power of 680 MW, Mahavitaran said in a press release issued here today.

The power purchase agreement (PPA) will be signed in the next 15 days, the power utility said.

The companies are supposed to provide power within 48-months from the date of the PPA.

This will help Maharashtra to become a power surplus state by 2012, it said.
