Kerala to tap wind energy

The Kerala government on Wednesday approved a project report to tap the state's wind energy potential.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government on Wednesday approved a project report to tap the state's wind energy potential.
Talking to reporters after a cabinet meeting, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said the state's non-conventional energy agency ANERT had been made the nodal agency for this purpose.
The private sector will be involved in the project, he said.
Potential sites identified for this includes Ramakkalmedu in Idukki district.
