KEC International Ltd has bagged an order valued at Rs 88 crore form Barki Tojik, national electricity company of Tajikistan.

MUMBAI: KEC International Ltd has bagged an order valued at Rs 88 crore form Barki Tojik, national electricity company of Tajikistan. The contract is funded by the Asian Development Bank and OPEC Fund for International Development. The contract is on turnkey basis for supply and construction of 220 kV double circuit line associated with Tajikistan-Afghanistan Interconnection Project for the Tajikistan portion.

The line are to be constructed from Karadum to Vatz (89.37 kms) and from Vatz to Sangtuda line bays at Sangtuda switchyard. The total length of line is 118 kms and the project will be completed in 18 months. KEC has bagged Rs 135 crore Afghanistan portion of the Tajikistan-Afghanistan Interconnection Project last month.

The company shares were up 1.93 per cent to Rs 145 on BSE.
