KEC International bags $120.73 mn order from Saudi co

KEC International has entered into contract valued at $120.73 million with Saudi Electric Company to construct a 380 KV transmission line on a turnkey basis.

MUMBAI: KEC International has entered into contract valued at $120.73 million with Saudi Electric Company to construct a 380 KV transmission line on a turnkey basis.

The scope of work includes design, engineer, procure, supply, delivery, construct, install, testing and commissioning a new 380 KV D/C OHL between Shoaibah-2 P/P 380KV S/S in WOA to the proposed Namerah North 380KV BSP in SOA-- a total line route length of 268 Km.

"The size of this win underlines KEC's status as a global leader in the transmission EPC player space. This win is our single largest win, in dollar terms, ever. KEC is delighted with the growth in international operations," said Ramesh Chandak, MD and CEO, KEC International Ltd.

Recently the company has acquired the US co. The targeted company has $100 million turnover. On 7th March, the US market accounts 2 per cent of the company���s turnover.

At 11:43 am, KEC International shares were down 6.67 per cent at Rs 633 on BSE.
