KCR lays foundation stone of third unit of SCCL power plant

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today laid the foundation stone of the third unit of power plant of state-owned Singareni Collieries Company Ltd at Pegadpally in Jaipur mandal of Adilabad district.
The unit, with installed capacity of 600 MW, would come up close to the two units (600 MW X 2) that are already being constructed.
Rao arrived here by a chopper with his two cabinet colleagues from the district, A Indrakaran Reddy and Jogu Ramanna.
Afterwards he held a meeting with senior officials of SCCL and the district.
