Karimnagar: Three workers killed in accident at NTPC plant

KARIMNAGAR (AP): Three contract workers were killed in an accident at Unit 4 of NTPC plant at Ramagundam in Karimnagar district this evening.

The workers, deployed at coal feeder in unit 4, fell from a height of 20 metres at about 5.30 pm and died on the spot, company sources said.

The deceased were identified as Venkatratnam (35), a supervisor; Sudershan (32), a technician; and Munni (23) a worker of Srinivasa Engineering Company.

They were cleaning the pipeline of coal storage bunker, sources added.
