Kalpataru Power Transmission on Thursday said it has got an order worth $250 million for building transmission lines in Kuwait.

MUMBAI: Kalpataru Power Transmission on Thursday said it has got an order worth $250 million for building transmission lines in Kuwait.

Apart from laying 172 km, 400 KV double circuit transmission line, the company will also manufacture towers for the same.

The order is scheduled to be completed in 24 months and involves procurement of materials such as conductors, insulators which are required for completing the turnkey project, besides 25,000 tonnes of galvanized steel towers from the company's facility in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, KPT said in a statement.

With this order, the current order book size of KPTL is Rs 4,700 crores ( $925 million) and most of the projects have to be completed within 18 to 24 months, KPTL added.

At 1:15 pm, shares of KPTL was trading higher by 4.5% at Rs 285.25 on the BSE.
