JSW Energy participates in tender floated by Power Company of Karnataka

NEW DELHI: JSW Energy today said it has taken part in the recent tender floated by the Power Company of Karnataka Ltd ( PCKL) in which bids were opened yesterday.

The company was replying to a clarification sought by the bourses with reference a news report.

"... the company participates in bids sought by power procurers and has participated in the recent tender floated by PCKL in which bids were opened yesterday and thereafter the bids are to be evaluated, processed and approved by various authorities prior to placement of any order/contract," JSW Energy said in a BSE filing.

The company added that whenever any proposal results into execution of binding documents it will comply with the provisions of the Securities and Exchange Board of India and make requisite disclosures accordingly.

"We wish to clarify that JSW Energy sells power through a combination of long-term and short-term power purchase agreements (PPAs)," JSW Energy said.
