J&K to witness shortage of 200 MW of power supply
Jammu and Kashmir government today said there will be shortage of 200 megawatts of power supply to the state over the next few days due to a fall in thermal and hydel power generation in northern India.
"Due to less generation from thermal and hydel power houses in northern India, there will be a shortage of 150 to 200 MW in the power schedule of Jammu and Kashmir for the next few days," an official of the Electrical Power Development Department said today.
He further said that power supply in Jammu province is likely to be disturbed as result.
"The general public is requested to use power judiciously and bear the inconvenience," he said.
