JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday said the detailed project report for Kirthai Hydel Electric project stage one has already been formulated by state Power Development Corporation (PDC).
"PDC has already been prepared for Kirthai Hydel Power Project and will be in pipeline for execution. The detailed project report for Pakal Dul has been prepared by NHPC and submitted to Central Electricity Authority (CEA) for technical clearance, while it is preparing the project report Bursar Hydel project," PDC sources told the media.
The assignment for formulating detailed project report for Rettle and Kru Hydel projects has been given to NHPC, they said adding that the survey and investigation have already been taken up by NHPC.
The construction of Kirthai and Paka Dul projects is likely to start during 11th five year plan, they added.
The mini hydel project at Brenwar in Chadoora stands allotted on 24-04-2005 to an independent power producer PR Engineering Services, Chandigarh, after completion of bidding process, they said.
The five MW project is estimated to cost Rs 32.50 crore, minister said adding that the project developer is yet to obtain the required clearance from various departments and has also not achieved financial closure, they said.
The target date for commissioning of the project is 48 months from the date of receipt of all statutory clearances, they added.
