Jharkhand approves NTPC R&R plan for project affected persons in Hazaribagh
As per the NTPC policy, a person having lost less than one acre to the project would get Rs 30,000 per year.
The R&R of the NTPC, approved by the Advisory Council to Governor Syed Ahmed, would cover 8,330 "project affected persons" at Pakri-Barwadih Coal Mining area of the district, Cabinet Coordination Department's Principal Secretary N N Pandey said here.
As per the NTPC policy, a person having lost less than one acre to the project would get Rs 30,000 per year and the person having lost more than one acre of land would receive Rs 36,000 per annum. The annuity would continue for thirty years, Pandey said.
Those having lost houses would be helped in construction by the NTPC, besides those with cattle would get a cattle shed costing Rs 3,500.
Apart from these, the beneficiaries would also get the best parts of the NTPC and the existing Jharkhand R&R - whichever point is the better, the official said.
