ITPS achieves highest yearly PLF

BHUBANESWAR: IB Thermal Power Station ( ITPS) of Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) has added one more feather to it's cap by achieving highest yearly PLF of 86.48 per cent among the State Sector thermal power units in the country during 2012-13.


The plant also recorded the lowest cold start-up time (21 hours) and lowest warm start-up time (7 hours) in 2012-13, which is a record in the history of the plant, a company release said today.

The Unit-1 of ITPS has already set a record of running uninterrupted for 95 days on 27th March breaking it's previous record of 94 days, set in the year 2005-06.
