Indo Asian Fusegear to enter power distribution
Delhi-based Indo Asian Fusegear, one of the leading manufacturers of CFLs, MCBs, wires, junction boxes and power distribution boards, is entering into the power distribution business.
At present, power distribution is controlled by state governments in most parts of the country and the only two significant private players are Tata Power and the Anil Ambani group company Reliance Energy (REL).
For the power distribution business, IAFL will float a separate entity, Indo Asian Power Distribution and Infrastructure Company.
It will leverage its existing relations with state distribution companies; the company has been operating in various areas of the consumer electricals business for almost five decades now.
The company is already doing a viability study for the business in some states.
