India, Russia to cooperate on atomic reactors

India and Russia have reached an agreement on cooperation in construction of new atomic reactors.

NEW DELHI: India and Russia have reached an agreement on cooperation in construction of new atomic reactors in the Kudankulam power project in Tamil Nadu.

This was part of the nine agreements and MoUs arrived at between the two countries after talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Vladimir Putin here.

One of the agreements related to cooperation in Global Navigation and Satellite System (GLONASS).
