IL&FS Engineering bags 150-cr rural electrification project

NEW DELHI: Infrastructure company IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd today said it has bagged project worth Rs 149.68 crore for rural electrification works in Uttar Pradesh.

"IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (PVVNL) for rural electrification (RE) works in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh," the company said in a statement.

The turnkey project, awarded under government's of Rajeev Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana, is to be completed in 18 months, it said.

The project is funded by Rural Electrification Corp Ltd (REC), it added.

The company recently won a rural electrification project from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (MVVNL) in Uttar Pradesh.

The company is already executing rural electrification works for West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd in Odisha, it added.
