CHANDIGARH: The power-deficit state of Haryana would benefit from the synchronisation of north, east, north-east and western transmission grids, a state government spokesperson said on Satarday.

"With the synchronization of the grids, power-deficit states, including Haryana, can utilise surplus power in Eastern and Western grids," a spokesman of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) said here.

The state government had entered into a number of agreements with power utilities in eastern grid to purchase electricity on short term basis, he said.

Haryana can now get power generated from the projects through the eastern, western and north-eastern Grids, he added.
