Haryana power utilities commission 23 new substations

Haryana Power Utilities have commissioned 23 new sub-stations, augmented capacity of 38 existing sub-stations and constructed 165 km long transmission lines with a total cost of Rs 148 crore upto November during the current fiscal.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Power Utilities have commissioned 23 new sub-stations, augmented capacity of 38 existing sub-stations and constructed 165 km long transmission lines with a total cost of Rs 148 crore upto November during the current fiscal.

An official spokesman said here today that the new sub-stations included one 220 KV sub-station, four 132 KV sub-stations, two 66 KV sub-stations and sixteen 33 KV sub-stations.

Construction of these substations have made the transmission and distribution system more reliable and had given a way to release of new tubewell connections to the applicants in the State.

He said that the Power Utilities have fully prepared to transmit and distribute the electricity to be generated by the first unit of 300 MW of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Project, Yamunanagar.

It would produce additional 72 lakh units of electricity of the State per day after commercial operation of the first unit.
