GVK Power and Infrastructure's power arm's first 82.50 MW unit goes on stream
A power purchase agreement (PPA) has been signed with Uttar Pradesh, and 12 per cent output will be provided free to Uttarakhand.
"The 330 MW (4x82.50MW) Alaknanda Hydro Power Company Ltd, a step-down subsidiary, successfully synchronised its first unit... with the grid on April 10 and is generating at full load," GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd said, in a filing to BSE.
The synchronisation of second and third units with the grid is expected this month and the last unit (fourth) is likely to be commissioned by next month, its said.
The company is developing the 330 MW hydro project on the Alaknanda in Tehri-Pauri Garhwal districts of Uttarakhand.
