Empower India eyes major gains from AI computing boom via sustainable infra push

Mumbai: Empower India, which has made a strategic foray into sustainable digital infrastructure solutions, on Monday said that it is well positioned to benefit significantly from the rapid expansion of India's AI computing ecosystem.

Expansion of national AI compute capacity under the Rs 10,372 crore IndiAI Mission and growing GPU deployment create new opportunities across India's digital infrastructure ecosystem, the company said in a statement.

"The national technological shift is expected to drive incremental demand for energy-efficient data centres, high-performance computing infrastructure, advanced cooling systems, and highly reliable power infrastructure," it added.


The company expects to benefit from this sector growth through increasing market demand for energy-efficient data-centre infrastructure capable of handling modern workloads.

Power optimisation and reliable power systems to ensure continuous uptime, advanced cooling and thermal-management solutions for heat-intensive hardware and sustainable infrastructure for high-density computing that aligns with green energy goals will also bolster growth, it added.

The company mentioned that the government's Rs 10,371.92 crore IndiaAI Mission, announced in 2024, is actively accelerating the development of the country's AI ecosystem through robust investments in computing capacity, data infrastructure, and AI applications.

Empower India has made a strategic expansion into sustainable digital infrastructure solutions through its plans to develop customised Green Data Server and Data Centre offerings. Its focus is on providing customised infrastructure solutions, energy-efficient digital operations and intelligent infrastructure management.

Empower India, a sustainable power solutions and network infrastructure provider, reported a nearly 41 per cent jump in revenue to Rs 37.38 crore for the June quarter of FY26. Its net profit surged multi-fold to Rs 1.49 crore in the quarter. PTI
