KOLKATA: Kolkata-based DPSC, formerly Dishergarh Power, has decided to set up a 240mw thermal station at Dishergarh at an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. The company has roped in Power Finance Corporation (PFC) as technical and financial consultant.

Earlier, DPSC had been looking for a joint venture partner and was in talks with private parties. As things didn’t work out, the company has decided to go solo with the venture.

“We will soon submit a detailed proposal to the WBERC and indicate the generation cost at the upcoming unit. It will be set up adjacent to our existing unit at Dishergarh,” said S Radhakrishnan, MD of DPSC.
