DHBVN drive on CFLs concludes

CHANDIGARH: The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has completed its campaign of replacement of incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent lamps(CFLs) in the whole area of Path Kheri feeder under the Operation Circle, Gurgaon.

Giving this information, a spokesman of the DHBVN said today that this feeder feeds ten villages of district Mewat namely Kubrakhawas, Sidhrawal, Bhatanagar, Dudoli, Bilonda, Nangal, Path Kheri, Khudiapwas, Cahinpuri and Bhond. This is the first CFL feeder of the Operation Circle Gurgaon and sixth in the area of DHBVN.

He said that the Nigam officials campaigned for seven days in these ten villages.

The officials went door to door along with Sarpanches and Dignitary of the villages and persuading the residents to replace the traditional power guzzler yellow bulbs with energy efficient CFLs.
