CESC rejigs top posts again

KOLKATA: RPG flagship CESC has silently rejigged its top deck within three months of the last senior management reshuffle.

For starters, CESC’s ED (commercial) Dilip Sen has been given additional responsibility of the ‘mains’ business, which is at the heart of the company’s electricity distribution operations and includes management of the CESC network.

S Sinha, who was ED (distribution), has been re-designated ED (technical) — a brand new post created at the highest echelons of the firm. In his new capacity, Mr Sinha’s core responsibility will be reining in T&D losses, sources said.

Aniruddha Basu, who was in charge of CESC’s low-tension (LT) business has been elevated to the level of GM (operations) in charge of both the power utility’s LT and HT businesses.

Sujit Poddar, who was CESC’s GM (mains) has been moved away from distribution operations and redesignated GM (management systems).
