CACL project gets transferred to Reliance Power

The reigns of Coastal Andhra Power Limited (CACL), the special purpose vehicle formed for developing the Andhra Pradesh based Krishnapatnam ultra mega power project, has been formally transferred to Reliance Power.

NEW DELHI: The reigns of Coastal Andhra Power Limited (CACL), the special purpose vehicle formed for developing the Andhra Pradesh based Krishnapatnam ultra mega power project, has been formally transferred to Reliance Power.

The company emerged as the successful bidder quoting a uniform tariff of 2.33 per unit. The 4000 mw power plant would be commissioned by 2015. The first unit of 800 mw would be commissioned by September 2013.
