Bidding for Tilaiya project to open

NEW DELHI: Financial bids for Tilaiya ultra mega power project to be opened in a fortnight- Project awarded by Jan 15th.

Five bidders NTPC, Reliance Power, Lanco Infratech, Sterlite and Jindal Power are the five bidders that have put in their bids for Tilaiya ultra mega power project on Monday.

The government has decided to open the technical bids today and will open the financial bids or tariff bids in a fortnight. The project is expected to be awarded in a fortnight to the lowest tariff bidder provided they meet the technical parametres.

The Tilaiya project is the fourth ultra mega project being bid out-Industry sources said that the tariffs for this pit-head power project could be relatively higher than the Sasan project which saw a tariff of Rs 1.20 per unit.
