BHEL bags Rs 169 crore contract from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Corporation

The three solar power plants of 10 mw each are to be set up at Mejia in Bankura, Santaldih and Chharrah in Purulia in West Bengal.

NEW DELHI: State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has secured a Rs 169 crore order from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited for setting up 30 mw solar photovoltaic power plants on turnkey basis.

The three solar power plants of 10 mw each are to be set up at Mejia in Bankura, Santaldih and Chharrah in Purulia in West Bengal.

BHEL had earlier this year bagged turnkey orders from Neyveli Lignite Corporation and Bharat Electronics Limited for setting up a 65 mw solar power plant at Neyveli in Tamil Nadu and a 15 mw solar power plant at Ordinance Factory Premises in Medak, Telangana.
