BGR Energy bags Rs 27 cr contract from NPCIL

CHENNAI: The electrical projects division of BGR Energy Systems Ltd has secured a Rs 27.14 crore contract from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd to implement a 500 MW Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) Project for Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Ltd at Kalpakkam near here.

The contract will be completed in 12 months, a company press release said today.

The scope of the contract includes supply of complete 415 V MCC Panels and associated Automation Systems for the 500 MW Plant.

The electrical projects division is currently executing another key system at Kalpakkam called the Medium Voltage Switchgear Package for the PFBR Project.

In addition, the division is implementing 400 KV & 220 KV GIS Project for 600 MW Mettur project of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, the release added.
