Areva opens 8 new factories

MUMBAI: Areva T&D India Ltd has opened eight new factories at the three greenfield sites in Vadodara in Gujarat, Hosur and, Padappai in Tamil Nadu.

The total investment in the factories is around Rs 950 crores. In the new greenfield sites, Vadodara has four factories, Padappai has three and Hosur has a single factory.

The factories at Hosur and Vadodara have already started commercial production, while Padappai is currently in the trial production stage and is expected to go for commercial production by June 2009.
