AP MLAs study power privatisation

A delegation of MLAs from Andhra Pradesh today studied the privatisation of power in the capital, specially in the distribution sector.

NEW DELHI: A delegation of MLAs from Andhra Pradesh today studied the privatisation of power in the capital, specially in the distribution sector.
The Committee of Public Undertakings of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly led by its Chairman N Uttam Kumar Reddy held discussions with Delhi Principal Secretary (Power) Rakesh Mehta and various officials of power entities here.
The eight-member delegation showed keen interest in the distribution of power and how it was being managed by private distribution companies.
The other areas which interested them were determination of tariff, collections, earnings and other related matter concerning distribution companies.
