HYDERABAD: A delegation of association of power producers, including top corporate honchos like Anil Ambani and GVK Reddy today met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here and discussed issues of gas supply to the 7,000 MW gas-based plants lying idle in the state.

Others in the delegation include L Madhusudana Rao of Lanco Group and GBS Raju of GMR Group, according to a release from the AP government.

The Chief Minister told them to take up with the Centre for setting up an LNG terminal and a floating storage and re-gasification unit (FSRU) in KG basin for the benefit of both state and power consumers, it said.

Anil Ambani met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and congratulated him for achieving separate state and forming the first government, a release from the Chief Minister's office said.

The Telangana government is formulating a new industrial policy and the government would like to hold discussions on the issue, the release quoted Rao as having told Anil Ambani.
