Sonowal hails Seafarers as LPG carriers Nanda Devi, Shivalik dock safely from Strait of Hormuz

LPG tanker MT Nanda Devi arrived at Vadinar port in Jamnagar, Gujarat, carrying 46,500 MT of LPG for ship-to-ship transfer, with operations set to begin at anchorage. Another LPG vessel, Shivalik, reached Mundra Port with 46,000 MT of cargo, further strengthening domestic energy supply. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited both vessels and praised the crew, calling seafarers the “unsung heroes of global trade.” He highlighted their resilience in navigating high-risk conditions amid regional tensions, ensuring uninterrupted supply critical for India’s energy security.
