RIL's Jamnagar refinery bags 'Globe of Honor Award'

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries Ltd's Jamnagar Refinery will be conferred with the British Safety Council's ' Globe of Honor Award' for excellence in Environmental management.

The award would be presented on November 23 at Mansion House in London, RIL said in a statement.

RIL's Jamnagar SEZ Refinery is the only Indian entity to make it to the elite list and it is for the first time that a Reliance Industries' manufacturing site has bagged this coveted award.

In all, there were 13 applicants and 9 received the Globe of Honor. To be eligible for the award which is a five-star environment audit, the applicant organisations should demonstrate a culture of best practice for health and safety throughout the business - from the boardroom to the shop floor, the statement added.
