MUMBAI: Reliance Industries has undertaken a planned shutdown of one of the two oil refinery units at Jamnagar, a company spokesman said on Friday.
The supplies from the company, however, will not be affected by the shutdown as the company has enough quantity of refined oil in stock, he said.
The shutdown that was effected on Thursday will go on for about 10 days. The actual maintenance will take four days while the remaining period will be required for cooling and heating of the unit, he said.
The company has two crude distillation units (refinery units) at Jamnagar with a capacity of 3,30,000 barrels a day each. While the shutdown has been taken for one unit, the other unit is functioning normally, the spokesman said.
